After an amazing time at the Gilmore Keyboard Festival with Grand Band and Michael Gordon last month, I'm happy to share my new piece, wither. I've also had the pleasure of working with pianist, Miki Sawada, who recently made a wonderful recording of a new movement to vantages entitled, "I decide to dig a tunnel."

Newly added audio excerpts of Trio in two parts [for cello, piano, and percussion] and a brand new wind quintet, focus. My wind quintet was premiered this past July at Aspen Music Festival and will be played again this October 3rd at Yale.

Happy New Year! Next Tuesday, January 15th, Grand Band will be memorializing the groundbreaking Dutch composer, Simeon ten Holt, with a performance of his most famous work, Canto Ostinato. After an amazingly fun and productive week of music making up at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival with my friends, Hannah Collins, cello; and Mike Compitello, percussion; of New Morse Code, we performed and recorded the first movement of my new piece for them. Currently I'm in the process of adding 2-3 more movements and I look forward performing it in it's entirety with Mike and Hannah soon!

On August 7th (next Tuesday), Grand Band is playing at (le) poisson rouge. Check it out. We'll be doing works by Julia Wolfe, Steve Reich, Kate Moore, and Philip Glass. Hope to see you there.

I am delighted to announce that my piece, timber, has been selected to be read in the American Composers Orchestra’s 21st Annual Underwood New Music Readings. The readings will take place June 1-2, at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York City and include two public events—a working rehearsal on June 1 at 10 a.m. and a run-through on June 2 at 7:30 p.m. More info can be found here. This Thursday, March 29th, I'll be performing Jordan Kuspa's piano quintet, Nitwit, Oddment, Blubber, Tweak as part of the New Music New Haven series at Sprague Hall. The featured and visiting composer on this concert is Steve Reich. His pieces Vermont Counterpoint and Proverb will be played. Also, on the next NMNH, April 12th, I'll be performing Kaija Saariaho's piano trio, Serenatas, alongside cellist Hannah Collins and percussionist Mike Compitello. Hope you all can make it! This Thursday, February 2nd, the amazing TwoSense (Lisa Moore, piano | Ashley Bathgate, cello) will be performing my piece reach. Also on the program: Daniel Wohl's One Piece, Stephen Feigenbaum's Fantasy for Oboe and Piano, Jordan Kuspa's Lemonade Toccata, Matt Welch's Orbus Tertius, and Ezra Laderman's Piano Sonata No. 5.

I'm very excited to be a part of Dinosaur Annex's 9th annual young composers' concert. My piece hail will be heard alongside works by Jing Zhou, Gabriella Smith, Davide Ianni, Michael Ippolito, and Daniel Kohane. If you're in Boston on Sunday, January 22nd, please stop by!
